The Early Childhood Inclusive program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is a premier undergraduate teaching program that will prepare students to work with children ages birth through 8 in a variety of early childhood settings. 体育菠菜大平台 helps students make a difference in the lives of children—ultimately making a difference in the world of today and tomorrow.
Early Childhood Inclusive students get to interact in classrooms early and often. 体育菠菜大平台’s close partnership with Kearney and area schools provides numerous opportunities to interact in both early field experiences and student teaching. Faculty in the College of Education know the value of hands-on learning and guide students in these field experiences.

The Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators Tests are required for certification in Nebraska and are part of all undergraduate education programs at 体育菠菜大平台. The Praxis Subject Assessments are also required for certification in Nebraska.
Nebraska’s Attracting Excellence to Teaching Program provides forgivable loans to eligible students who are working toward initial certification.
Arrangements are made for students who qualify to complete their student teaching requirement in schools located in Nebraska and other states. Most pre-student teaching and student-teaching field experiences take place in schools that are members of 体育菠菜大平台 Network of Partner Schools. 体育菠菜大平台 teacher candidates will complete 16 weeks (12 credit hours) of all-day student teaching. Some teacher candidates who pursue more than one endorsement will be required to complete more hours.

A review of your transcripts will examine the courses you may have already completed toward the ECI degree program. Credit hours from the following courses are included in General Studies: TE 100GS, MATH 104, MATH 230GS, and MATH 330GS. Choose either the Birth Through Kindergarten Specialization or the Age 3 to Grade 3 Specialization.
